FOUNDERS
Founded in 2017 by artist Majd Kurdieh and Ghada Kunash
after his exhibition #StealingSadness, Fasaeen came about to make art accessible to all. The Fasaeen brand has a line of printables, homeware products, fashion-ware. Based on the characters that are present throughout his artworks, each design is an original digitally generated print with a drop of 1000 items per design. This ensures a sense of exclusivity for each item, making it so that … limited edition.
Fasaeen are not something that were invented, but rather discovered in the wilderness just as any new species are discovered by scientists. It is not a noun nor a verb, but an adjective meaning the tiny ones. Fasoon and Fasooneh first made their appearance in 2014 in Majd Kurdieh’s
artworks.
Together with a group of animals, they called themselves The Very Scary Butterfly Gang. Their weapon? The Flower. The gang? An Elephant with a Fish for a Heart, a Mouse who knows Nothing of the Impossible, the Watermelon King the donkey, a Patient Cactus, and a Whale of sadness who hides behind a Butterfly. Their mission? To steal the sadness of the neighbours.

بعد معرضه #سرقة_الأحزان، تأسست Fasaeen لجعل الفن في متناول الجميع. تتميز علامة Fasaeen التجارية بخط من المواد المطبوعة ومنتجات الأدوات المنزلية و الموضة. استنادًا إلى الشخصيات الموجودة في جميع أعماله الفنية، فإن كل تصميم عبارة عن طباعة رقمية أصلية لا تتجاوز 1000 عنصر لكل تصميم. يضمن هذا حصرية كل منتج، مما يجعله ... إصدارًا محدودًا.

“Fasaeen…. what a weird name?! Well, it is an adjective, not a name. Fasaeen consider: names, countries, skin colour, and everything that divides humanity as cages. They love to run in the wilderness, and they don’t have hands except to carry The Flower or hold each other’s hands. They don’t like houses and walls; they dream of an open window hanging in the open air.
I did not create or invent them... I discovered them just like how scientists discover new species of birds in remote jungles. If I were allowed to write about them in the book of nature, I would have said: “They are beings that love the light that immerses everything equally.”
They decided with the rest of the animals to create The Very Scary Butterfly Gang to steal the sadness of the neighbours, and The Flower is their scary weapon, which all the Monsters are afraid of.”

"الفصاعين... وما هذا الاسم الغريب؟! إنها صفة، وليست اسمًا. الفصاعين يعتبرون الأسماء والبلدان والألوان وكل ما يقسم البشر أقفاصاً. يحبون الركض في البراري ولا يملكون أيدٍ إلا ليحملوا وردة أو يمسكوا يد صديق، لا يحبون البيوت والجدران، يحلمون بشباكٍ مفتوحٍ معلقٍ في الهواء.
أنا لم أبتكرها أو أخترعها... لكنني اكتشفتها كما يكتشف العلماء أنواع طيور جديدة في غابات مجهولة... ولو سُمح لي بوضعها في كتب الطبيعة لقلت عنها "أنها كائنات تحب الضوء الذي يغمر كل شيء بالتساوي."
قرروا مع بقية الحيوانات تشكيل عصابة الفراشة المخيفة جدن التي تسرق أحزان بيت الجيران، والوردة سلاح العصابة المخيف جدن، تخاف منه كل الوحوش.
WHY FASAEEN WAS CREATED?
Fasaeen came as a response to Majd Kurdieh’s renowned talent as an artist. His captivating artworks that echo messages of love, peace, hope, optimism, and freedom, were showcased in numerous exhibitions worldwide. Despite attracting the attention of prominent art collectors, many of Kurdieh's admirers, particularly young individuals, found it challenging to acquire his original pieces. Thus, Fasaeen emerged as a purchasable manifestation of Majd Kurdieh's artistry, offering accessibility to a broader audience.
لماذا تم تأسيس الفصاعين؟
جاء معرض فصائين كاستجابة لموهبة مجد كردية كفنان. وقد عُرضت أعماله الفنية الجذابة التي تردد رسائل الحب والسلام والأمل والتفاؤل والحرية في العديد من المعارض في جميع أنحاء العالم. وعلى الرغم من جذب انتباه مقتني الفن البارزين، إلا أن العديد من معجبي كردية، وخاصة الشباب، وجدوا صعوبة في الحصول على أعماله الأصلية. وبالتالي، ظهر الفصاعين كمنتج قابل للشراء من براعة مجد كردية الفنية، لتوفير إمكانية الوصول إلى جمهور أوسع.
